How the addons are made
Allemano Addons are designed, directed and tested by one person who plays World of Warcraft: Forever with a guild. Much of the code is written with AI assistance (Claude, by Anthropic). The AI writes code under that direction. Deciding what gets built, how it should behave and when it is released, testing it in the game, and answering for the result is done by a person.
It is said openly because you should know what you install.
How they are tested
- The larger addons have automated tests. The loot council addon, for instance, runs well over a thousand checks on every change.
- New versions are tried in the game, with real players, before they are published. Larger changes go out as beta first.
- Every release has a changelog that says what changed. Bugs are fixed in the open.
What they do with your data
- The addons collect no data about you, have no telemetry and contact no server. World of Warcraft addons cannot reach the internet.
- Addons that work with other players send small addon messages, and only to your own group or guild: the loot council addon in a raid, CraftBoard's recipe sharing in a guild, and the Guild page of Allemano Hub (addon names and versions, which can be switched off).
- Everything the addons save stays in your own game folder (SavedVariables).
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal profiles. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and it shows download counts that it fetches from shields.io (which reads them from CurseForge).
